Get Calm spans 111 acres of working fields and managed forest along the Otonabee River.
This land is the foundation of everything we do.
We grow lavender, cultivate native and ornamental trees, and actively steward our woodlots to support the long-term health of the soil, the forest, and the surrounding ecosystem.
Our approach is simple: care for the land first, and everything else follows.
From this foundation, our boutique wellness experiences and farm products naturally take shape—rooted in the same commitment to sustainability, balance, and respect for the land.

Our lavender fields are an active production space, growing several varieties of Lavandula angustifolia, including Munstead, Hidcote, and Ellagance.
These fields are carefully tended for both dried botanicals and small-batch essential oil production.
During select times of the season, we open the fields for quiet observation and photography

During select times of the season, we open the fields for quiet observation and photography—offering a chance to experience the landscape while it’s in bloom.

We grow a selection of native and ornamental trees chosen for their resilience and ecological value.
Species like Eastern Redbud, Serviceberry, Tulip Tree, and Flowering Dogwood are cultivated to support local biodiversity, wind protection, and long-term land restoration.

As part of our ongoing forest care, we make use of naturally fallen and selectively thinned wood.
This “found wood” approach allows us to maintain forest health while offering raw materials for building, crafting, and small-scale projects.
Our current inventory of raw wood and project materials includes:

We also maintain quiet observation areas where visitors can experience the natural rhythms of the forest and witness this stewardship in practice. This is not a passive landscape—it is a working, evolving system. Every field, tree, and trail plays a role in the health of the whole.
